thanks for the ctemmnos AntaresWell a few things here, firstly Love, Acutally looked like the romantic equivalent of garden mulch the first time i saw it it was grand, as was 4 Weddings and Notting Hill, but that was about it.The fact that I was dog sitting and found a limited range of DVDs on the shelf to amuse myself while my friend's terrier enjoyed his Pedigree Chum didn't help the ambience in which I was approaching it.Now I will write more thoroughly on it later, as I got distracted with some other ideas and didn't complete my musings on it, but when I saw it recently it was a damascene revelation of human truth. You could say the same about 4 Weddings and Notting Hill, no matter how sickly bits of them might appear. My Noon, My Midnight, My Talk, My Song;I thought love would last forever: I was wrong really, has there been a better delivery of poetry in mainstream cinema in the last 20 years?I doubt it.In Notting Hill, the scene where Hugh Grant has to come to terms with the woman he loves marrying his best friend, and managing to remain friends with both for all the years after is less connected with the overall momentum of the movie, but it is truly the stuff that lives are made of.And so we come to Love, Actually. But not this evening. I promise I will get on the case right away though. As for dating and rituals and convention broadly I agree, but I also feel that connections between people tend to work well when you have an appreciation of the other person, and that usually involves meeting them half way, which may be as close to their world as your own.To be truly yourself withour boundaries requires knowledge of self, or at least a submission to the intuition of self, and it's surprising how many people seem to lose this altogether when cupid takes another arrow from the quiver.

1.What types of things did the first website ask you to do?The website tells us to read a reversed paragraph in 60 seconds.2.On a scale of 1- 10 how successful were you in completing the tasks? 73.What made completing the task difficult? The letters were reversed, but I made out the words little by little.4.What could the web designer have done to make the site more accessible to you? They made it helpful by informing me of the reversed speech.1.What types of things did the first website ask you to do?It asked me to multi-task.2.On a scale of 1- 10 how successful were you in completing the tasks? 73.What made completing the task difficult?Doing two things at the same time.4.What could the web designer have done to make the site more accessible to you? They could have made it less difficult.

Liz is not just ANY page turner. Liz is the Heifetz, the Pavarotti, the veritable Yo-Yo Ma of page turners. She is the kind of page turned who, if I was completely fumbling a difficult passage, would suddenly have an uncontrollable puking fit so as to draw attention away from my screwup. She also knows exactly how many pieces of sushi you might need at intermission. At least that's my experience; your mileage may vary One last bit of clothing advice for page turners: No dangly loose jackets. I once played a whole violin recital with silk caressing my left cheek at every turn. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, but it was kind of distracting.

Thanks Heather! I'm obsessed with big, chunky knits. Hopefully one of these days my knitting skills will improve so I can make one myself, but until then I have an incredibly talented grandma to thank. xo
